The German based Counter-Strike:Global Offensive team, mousesports has announced big changes within the roster.

Once regarded as the second best European roster, the European Union mousesports CS:GO team has suffered catastrophic changes today.

It remains to see if the remaining players will find the suitable two and the coach to make them a great CS:GO power once again.

The official announcement of the managers state that both Netherlands Chris 'chrisJ' de Jong, the team In Game Leader and the recently re-added Support player, Slovakia Martyn 'STYKO' Styk have both been benched once again.

Remind you that in the past STYKO was replaced by Poland Janusz 'snax' Pogorzelski, having played for United States Cloud9 for some time while ChrisJ was benched in the past while Bosnia and Herzegovina Nikola 'NiKo' Kovac was still in the roster.

The third one to be benched is the team coach, Ukraine Sergey 'lmbt' Bezhanov.

The team CEO, Germany Stefan Wendt wrote on the official website of the organization:

"It's a sad day for our organisation, as Sergey, Martin and Chris have been highly valued members of our team for a long time but we have to look forward and work hard to keep our place among the worlds best Counter-Strike teams.

After the most successful season of our history, we already saw some issues within the team towards the end of the year and unfortunately we couldn't turn it around in Katowice.

To secure competitive success in 2019 we feel it is necessary that the team gets a fresh start."

At the same time still member of the organization, Finland Mikka 'suNny' Kemppi wrote:

"Parting ways after one and a half years and 19 offline tournaments is not easy but sometimes a few steps back, can be multiple steps forward.

There are no hard feelings or any bad blood inside the team, we just drove ourselves into a situation we couldn't get out of and something had to change.

It was the most successful run for all of us and I hope that this will change the careers of all of us for the better.

Thank you guys for everything. Looking forward to a new and fresh chapter now, where we can be consistent contenders for titles again."

The future of the three, Netherlands ChrisJ, Slovakia STYKO and Ukraine Imbt is uncertain for the time being, they will for now remain tied to the team but will have the benched status while the rest of the roster is on a lookout for at least two more members.

The future of European Union mousesports looks grim for now as there is now better option for them at the first glimpse.

The CS:GO team for European Union mousesports now looks as follow:

  • Czech Republic Tomas 'oskar' Stastny
  • Estonia Robin 'ropz' Kool
  • Finland Mikka 'suNny' Kemppi
  • Slovakia Martyn 'STYKO' Styk (benched)
  • Netherlands Chris 'chrisJ' de Jong (benched)
  • Ukraine Sergey 'lmbt' Bezhanov (benched)
