The Bulgarian based Counter-Strike:Global Offensive team, that used top respresent the British based organziation, The Imperial has parted ways with the organization.
The team, now called
Mortal Kombat has lost the support of the organization due to the fact that one of their players cannot attend Majors.
The official statement on the website of the organization by team CEO, Oli Adams say:
"We've enjoyed a really successful few months with the team but it seems that the situation with Simon (dream3r) won't change anytime soon and this means we need to make the call to release the team for the good of The Imperial.
It's not a decision we wanted to make as the guys are progressing really well but with investment coming into the organisation, we need teams that can potentially attend the major events.
I'd personally like to thank Kamen and the team for working so hard for us and I wish them the best of luck in the future! We will be taking our time in deciding which team/game we will go for next, so please bear with us. We'll be revealing our brand new logo with our new team so stay tuned!!"
Now the Bulgarian based team is once again known as Mortal Kombat.
At the time of the release, The Imperial had:
- Emiliyan 'spyleadeR' Dimitrov
- Simeon 'dream3r' Ganev
- Victor 'v1c7oR' Dyankov
- Kamen 'bubble' Kostadinov
- Hristian 'shEMETA' Spasov
