The Russian based
LAN CIS Championship Voronezh, an event held by Andrey 'MPKBK' Ermakov final is upon us, with just one day till the LAN week-end, the organizers of the event made public the two groups.
A total of eight teams will go to the
LAN center in Voronezh, Russia in order to compete for a total of $13000 in cash prize.
The teams line-up features some of the best
CIS region teams, we have names such as HellRaisers, Flipsid3 Tactics, ACES, PiTER-ONLiNE, GGWP.pro and some mix teams such as USSR, teamswagyolo and WEPLAY.
These teams will try and grab the
$5000 that is set to be given to the winner of the entire event. One of the best teams from the CIS region, Natus Vincere is not present at the LAN, the team had to bail out of the event due to most likely conflicting schedule.
Format will see two groups of four team that will try and secure the top spots. Unlike other events, the
Group Stage is not eliminatory.
The format in the
Group Stage will see a Best of 1 with the top 2 from each group advancing into the Upper Bracket of a Double Elimination Play-off while the last two teams at the end of the Group Stage going into the Lower Bracket. The format in the Double Elimination Play-off is a Best of 3.

As mentioned the LAN event will run from 17'th of April 2015 till 19'th of April 2015, the action will be casted by Andrey 'MPKBK' Ermakov in Russian language from the LAN center and by our own Rahim 'BaBam' Abdullaev in his own magnificent "english" via our Twitch.tv/greatfrag channel.
With NaVi out it is most likely that the main duel will be between HellRaisers and Flipsid3 Tactics, but team such as ACES and PiTER-ONLiNE are no push-over so we might have some surprises since we have Bo1.
Another team that is worth taking in consideration is the mix team of teamswagyolo, a team that features some of the upcoming talents in CIS Counter-Strike:Global Offensive, players such as Vadim 'DavCost' Vasiliev, Ivan 'spaze' Obrezhan and Anton 'kibaken' Kolesnikov.
