The Australian based Counter-Strike:Global Offensive team, AVANT Gaming has announced the departure of New Zeelander, Chris 'ofnu' Hanley.
The announcement was made on the twitter page of the team and on the official website, there the managers wrote:
"Today we part ways Chris “ofnu" Hanley from our active CS:GO roster. " We'd like to thank ofnu for his tremendous efforts this year under the Avant banner. He's been a pivotal member of the squad since joining Avant in February.
Winning ESL ANZ CHAMPS S10, placing first in the DreamHack Masters Spring Closed Qualifier in April and placing second in MDL S33 are just some of the accolades we've seen so far this year.
It's always been our goal to reach the top of CS:GO in Australia and ofnu has helped us take one step closer."
The player himself, ofnu had this to add on his twitter webpage:
"My services with Avant have been terminated. I want to thank Avant for the opportunity they gave me this year. They were a great organisation to play for and were professional and supportive in every way."
While the future of both parties is uncertain, at this moment, AVANT Gaming now is:
- Mike 'ap0c' Aliferis
- Jared 'HaZR' O'Bree
- Peter 'BL1TZ' Athanasatos
- Euan 'sterling' Moore
