Organizers behind biggest esports event in DOTA 2  The International 2014 have announced the new format for the upcoming event. Due to fact that prize purse already close to $10,000,000 and growing, organizers decided to make the event more epic.

First Stage - WildCard event.  In 8th July, 4 teams which are became Runner-Ups in their Qualifiers will fight against each other for the last slot to the main event.  They will play in Single Elimination Best-of-3 format.

Second Stage - The Group Stage. It will last for 3 days from 9th till 12th of July. 16 teams will play in Round-Robin BO1 format. Total number of games on this stage will be equal to 120! Top 2 will start main tournament from the Upper Bracket. Top 3-10 will move to the next phase, while bottom six will leave The International 2014.

Third Stage - Elimination.  Actually there will be two mini events where 8 teams will determine the owners of two slots.

Fourth Stage - The Main Event. The International 2014 DOTA 2 will be held from 18th till 21th of July, 2014. The eight teams will play Double Elimination format BO3, except grand final which will be held in Best-of-5 format.
